Does PSD → PNG lose quality?

PNG is lossless - no detail is dropped. If the source PSD is already lossy, the PNG will keep exactly what's there (but won't recover what the source already lost).

Yes - CR2 / CR3 (Canon), NEF (Nikon), ARW (Sony), DNG (Adobe / many), RAF (Fuji), ORF (Olympus), PEF (Pentax), X3F (Sigma), RW2 (Panasonic), 3FR (Hasselblad). Developed to JPG / TIFF / PNG via dcraw.

By default yes - date, camera, exposure settings are carried into the resulting JPG / TIFF. PNG and WebP have no EXIF standard so it gets dropped there.

Yes - PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF keep transparency. JPG has no alpha channel, so transparency flattens to white.

Yes - HEIC / HEIF develop to JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF. Apple uses HEIC for smaller files but outside the Apple ecosystem you still need JPG everywhere.

Is the conversion safe?

Yes. Small files convert inside your browser - never uploaded. Larger ones land on our server temporarily and are wiped automatically: 200 MB after 10 min, 100 MB after 20 min, 50 MB after 30 min, smaller after one hour. You can also delete them instantly after download.
