How to use it

- In the "Trip cost" section enter distance (km or miles) and fuel price per liter or gallon. Pick a currency (USD, EUR, GBP, any).

- Car comparison. European spec "7 l/100km", what is that in MPG? 33.6 MPG US. Now you can compare.

Questions and answers
Formula: l/100km = 235.21 / MPG (US). E.g. 30 MPG US = 235.21 / 30 = 7.84 l/100km. For MPG UK divide by 282.48 (Imperial gallon is bigger). The tool does this automatically.
